Common Island
On October 25th 2025, we hosted Common Island — a Pauper tournament at the legendary Conne Island in Connewitz, Leipzig. Together with Pauper to the People, we turned the venue into a tropical battleground for seven rounds of Magic and community. With 121 players, it became the biggest Pauper event in Germany to date.
I was again part of the organisation crew, helping to plan and run the event while also creating its visual identity — from the poster and custom merchandise to my first-ever playmat, which I sold at the venue.
I also designed a basic Island proxy that every participant received as a small souvenir. My visuals were featured on the engraved trophy for the winner. The aim was to make Common Island feel cohesive and memorable, balancing the energy of competition with a playful, island-inspired aesthetic.
Celebrate Pauper in comfort with the official Common Island T-shirt, created for the biggest Pauper tournament in Germany. A simple, durable design made for everyday wear, on and off the battlefield.
Made from premium, sustainable materials, it’s as eco-friendly as it is stylish. Show up, show off, and rep the commons.

Here some pictures from the venue and the prize presentation, capturing the atmosphere and community spirit that made the day special. I might also include a short video of me handing the first-place prize to my friend
Jean-Michel — a perfect ending to an unforgettable day.
I want to thank all the participants, sponsors, and the orga crew. It never ceases to amaze me what we can achieve with such a strong collective — and how much you learn from organising events that grow from a shared hobby.
